The Ministry of Education and Sports has officially released the 2024 academic calendar for various educational institutions. The scheduled Timetable covers Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary Schools, Technical, and even Farm schools, bringing a sense of order and excitement as the term is about to begin.
Kicking off the academic year will be schools across the nation as they are set to open their doors on Monday, February 5, 2024, initiating a comprehensive 89-day learning marathon that will culminate on May 3, 2024.
Term II promises to keep the momentum rolling, commencing on May 27, 2024, and stretching out over another 89 action-packed days, finally wrapping up on August 23, 2024.
Term III is slated to kick off on September 16, 2024, and will be in full swing until December 6, 2024.
Denis Mugimba, the Ministry's ever-enthusiastic spokesperson, revealed that this carefully crafted schedule will have a profound impact on basic and secondary education levels, as well as technical and vocational education training institutions and community polytechnics. It's a comprehensive plan designed to cater to the diverse needs of the education ecosystem.
