City socialite Zari Hassan has commemorated what would have been her late husband Ivan Ssemwanga's birthday. The Ugandan philanthropist took to her socials to express her warm wishes for Ivan, suggesting that the angels are rejoicing alongside him while affirming that his impactful legacy continues to thrive.
Zari and Ivan, despite weathering their fair share of challenges, celebrated the birth of three sons during their union. The heartfelt message, shared on various social media channels, not only paid homage to Ivan's memory but also reflected on the enduring impact he had on Zari's life.
The poignant announcement of Ivan's passing, delivered by Zari on her Instagram account, marked a somber chapter in her life. Describing it as the darkest hour, she fondly recollected Ivan's generous nature and the significant role he played in her life.
“God loves those that are special and that’s exactly who you were and I guess that’s why he wanted you to himself. You have touched and helped thousands, you did wonders and I remember you telling me “life is too short let me live it to the fullest”, this very dark hour it makes sense why you always said those words to me,”- she wrote.
Controversy loomed over the circumstances surrounding Ivan's untimely demise, with accusations from his family pointing fingers at Zari's alleged role in his depression. Tensions were palpable initially, but with time, the clouds of discord dissipated as both parties reconciled. In a surprising turn of events, Zari's eldest son, Pinto Ntale, emerged as the official heir to Ivan's extensive properties, solidifying family ties.
Despite the challenges, Zari exhibited resilience and moved forward with her life. Welcoming two more children with Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz, she embraced new beginnings while keeping Ivan's memory alive.
