The Kitende based side played their game at hand with Onduparaka on 26th October, 2019 where they had a chance extend their lead over second placed BUL FC to four points but where held to a barren draw.
Vipers' striker and the league's top scorer Fahad Bayo tried on some occasions hand his side a first away from home win against the caterpillars but Onduparaka's goalkeeper, Wasswa Yusuf was at his best.
His performance yesterday saw him clinch the Pilsner Man of the match that goes with 100,00/=.
Vipers also handed debuts to two players in Henry Kitegenyi and Ashraf Mugume "Fadiga" who came on as substitutes for Kalumba Brian and Frank "Zaga" Tumwesigye respectively.
The win kept the Venoms at the top of the table with 21 points, two points ahead of second placed BUL FC. It also took Vipers unbeaten run to nine matches since the start of the season in August 2019.
Onduparaka, who are now winless in their last three league matches stand fourth in the table on 16 points with five wins, one draw and three losses. It was the seventh encounter between the Venoms and the Caterpillars, with Vipers (Venoms) winning on three occasions, drawing thrice and losing one.
Both teams are back in action on Wednesday 30th October, 2019 with table leaders having a trip to Namboole for a duel with seventh placed Kyetume FC while Onduparaka will still be at home in Arua where they will entertain 12th placed Tooro United.
