True Papillon, real name Rukundo Gift, is a rising Ugandan singer and songwriter known for his unique fusion of Afro-pop, Afro-soul, and Afro-dancehall. Born and raised in Uganda, True Papillon began writing and recording music at just 15 years old, but held off releasing his work until he felt fully ready to make his mark.
In 2024, he officially debuted with his first single “I Surrender”, a soulful track that introduced his rich vocals and heartfelt lyrics to the world. He followed it up with “Sweetest Vibe”, his latest single produced by Kesh and co-written alongside St Adrian, a vibrant and catchy song that blends emotion with rhythm, further solidifying his place in Uganda’s evolving music scene.
