Uganda’s freshest musical sensation, True Papillon, is back with a brand-new track titled “Sweetest Vibe”, and it’s exactly what the title suggests — a melodic blend of Afro flavors that’ll leave you hitting replay.
At just 19 years old, True Papillon, real name Rukundo Gift, is already creating a buzz in the local music scene. Born and raised in Uganda, the young artist first caught ears with his emotional debut single “I Surrender” in 2024, and now, with “Sweetest Vibe,” he’s proving that he’s no one-hit wonder.
Produced by Kesh and co-written by St Adrian and True Papillon, “Sweetest Vibe” brings together the smooth tones of Afro-pop, the warmth of Afro-soul, and the energetic rhythm of Afro-dancehall — genres that define True Papillon’s artistic identity.
Although he began writing and recording music at the age of 15, True Papillon held onto his unreleased tracks until last year. That patience and development are paying off now, with “Sweetest Vibe” showcasing a more polished, mature sound that reflects his growth as a singer and songwriter.
