Former Bukedde TV presenter Emilia Masembe alias 'Omubi Masembe' says his support for the opposition National Unity Platform, NUP Party and Principal HE Bobi Wine cost him a job at Vision Group.
In an exclusive interview with former co--employee and journalist Flavia Namulindwa, Masembe has revealed how he was erased from the bank accounts of Vision Group after choosing to register in NUP thereby picking a card to represent the party in the previously held 2021 general elections as a Lord Councillor LC 5 for Makindye West Division.
Accordingly, Masembe's decision didn't go well with his bosses at the Industrial Area bases media group, a move that forced his boss then, Kabusbenga Robert to end his journey at Vision Group after refusing to denounce his membership in NUP through a press conference.
He could end up being denied the chance to render any service anymore to Bukedde TV and officially halting his media profession, a field that he cherished that much.
Masembe is currently in America after his attempt to go politics, as well as practice journalism, hit a dead end.
The former "Ani Asinga" Bukedde TV presenter is amongst a queue of employees that have tasted a sack from Vision Group because of involving in partisan politics most especially siding with parties that oppose the ruling NRM government.
These include, Mary Flavia Namulindwa, Fiffie Da Queen and Omubi Masembe among others.
