Express have won their first match of the season courtesy of a 1:0 score against tax collectors URA FC.
New signing Allan Kayiwa scored the much needed goal that inspired the Red Eagles to a first victory of the season following a one all stalemate with UPDF FC in their season’s opener.
The win took James Odoch’s side to four points and fourth on a sixteen team log.
In Jinja, Uganda Cup defending champions Bul FC beat visitors and soldiers of UPDF 3:1. Karim Nduggwa, Richard Wandyaka and Frank Kalanda scored for the oil makers whereas Mangadaazi pulled one for the Bombo based side.
For the second time in succession, Karim Nduggwa was named man of the match having walked home with the accolade in their season’s first match in with they thumped Blacks Power 5:0.
The win took Bul FC to six points with eight goals scored having also put five un answered goals past Blacks Power in their season’s opener.
KCCA FC lost 3:1 to Arua Hill, their first loss to Arua Hill SC and first this season. Isaac Ogwang, Rashid Toha and Rashid Kawaawa scored for the hosts whereas Bright Vuni’s own goal was KCCA FC’s consolation goal,
