After pulling ropes and fighting tooth and nail, it has been confirmed that Ugandan Musician cum Politician Bobi Wine will not be performing in Dubai at a show that was scheculed take place today as it has been cancelled.
The NUP leader had flown to Dubai for a charity concert to supported stranded Ugandan migrant workers.
According to Bobi Wine disclosed that the venue owner was instructed to cancel the show and that the available information on ground indicates that Ugandan authorities have been working tooth and nail to ensure it doesn't happen.
"Unfortunately our Charity Concert in Dubai has been cancelled! The venue owner has been instructed to cancel. The information available shows Ugandan authorities have been working tooth and nail to ensure it doesn't happen! The first attempt was to deny me entry, and now this!", Bobi Wine tweeted.
Early Bobi Wine was detained at Dubai airport and grilled for eight hours after his phone and passport were confiscated on arrival.
And it was not immediately clear why he was detained but Mr Kyagulanyi who’s known by his stage name as Bobi Wine said he had been questioned about NUP, its leaders, their phone numbers, his family members and their contacts before his phone and passport were returned.
