Sipapa and Wife Shamira Denied Bail, Remanded Back to Luzira Maximum Prison

Charles Olim aka Sipapa and his wife Shamira Nakiyimba have been denied bail after appearing before Makindye chief Magistrate, Ms Esther Adikini for mentioning of their case of aggravated robbery of about she 1.6 billion.

Appesring before court last Monday, Sipapa and Shamira through lawyers asked court to grant bail, pending the hearing of their case citing that she is a breastfeeding mother with a fresh wound that still needs treatment.

Unfortunately, the court made it clear that the charges against Shamira and Sipapa are capital in nature nothing that the two can only be tried in High court , she further remanded them until 10th October ,2022.

“This court has no jurisdiction to hear your bail application. You can try in the High Court and for the sake of the baby, they can take him or her to prison to be taken care of by the mother,” Ms Adikini said.

The socialite was arrested last week by police officers at the Directorate of Crime Intelligence for breaking into the residence of one Jacob Arok in Kawuku-Bunga in Kampala on August 28, 2022.
