Vipers SC have in the evening hours of Wednesday 31st August 2022 announced the signing of prolific striker Cromwel Rwothomio from rival side URA FC.
Part of the club statement on their website read.... “We are pleased to announce the signing of lethal striker, Cromwel Rwothomio from Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC).”
Cromwel Rwothomio who netted 14 Uganda Premier League (UPL) goals in the most recent season joins the Venoms on a three year contract.
On joining the Kitende based side, Rwothomio had this to tell the club media;
“I’m very happy to be here at a big club. I have played against Vipers SC several times. I saw that it was a big club with passionate supporters. It’s a really great club, I hope to be very successful here.” “I know it is going to be a lot of hard work, but I am ready to do everything I can to get the most amount of minutes as possible.”
He has previously featured for Pakwach Young Stars, Paidha Black Angels before joining URA FC where he scored 35 UPL goals in 77 appearances. He joins new recruits at the club who include Ashraf Mandela, Murushid Juuko, Olivier Osomba, Isa Mubiru, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Abdu Lumala and Marvin Joseph Youngman.
He will be seen as a replacement for Ceaser Manzoki who bid farewell to the club ahead of his move to Chinese side Dalian FC, though he wi have to draw competition from Ibrahim Orit, Yunus Ssentamu and Abubaker akawala
