Express FC head coach James Odoch has hailed new signing Farouk Katongole who joined the seven time Uganda Premier League champions after seeing off his contract at URA FC.
Odoch who was recently confirmed as the new head coach at Express FC said the new acquisition is solid and experienced enough to help the side ahead of the new season.
This he told the club website on unveiling the center back.
“Farouk Katongole is a very good solid center back who brings both aerial advantage and physic to our backline, we’re sure that with a player of his quality our defence will remain solid.”
Katongole has of recent been playing for URA FC but the club didn’t renew his contract and comes in with experience that has seen him pray for among others Bright Star FC and Tooro United.
He joins as a replacement for Murushid Juuko who departed for rival side and Uganda Premier League reigning champions Vipers SC.
Express FC has brought in new recruits who include Yusuf Ssozi, Derick Ngoobi,Marvin Oshaba, Hamim Semakula, Anwar Ntege among others.
The Uganda Premier League will unless otherwise kick off on 30th September 2022 with the fixtures set to be released next week.
