Inside Middle Easter Restaurant located in Ntinda, a gas cylinder exploded and sparked off a fire that started in the kitchen as it was reportedly being refilled causing serious panic.
According to the Police, Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, “…they were filling one of the gas cylinders and at the same time, using it for cooking,” said
He went ahead and confirmed that no one was injuired or even died in this explosion.
“Fortunately, they were able to extinguish the fire using fire extinguishers before the fire prevention and rescue services arrived,” noted Owoyesigyire.
