Busoga region has crowned Miss Tourism Busoga who, together with two other runners up will battle other beauty queens from other regions for the Miss Tourism Uganda crown this year.
Queen Ishany Siriman Mwonda was Crownedn Miss Tourism Uganda Busoga region in an event that was held at Kagulu hill in Buyende District Busoga sub region.
Shakira Kadhanah was the runners up and Namwende Joan Florence 2nd runners up, the two joining Ishnay to represent Busoga region in Miss Tourim Uganda.
“Words can’t describe how proud we are to have the opportunity to show the rich cultural heritage and untouched natural beauty of Busoga on an international platform through our very own tourism ambassador.” Organizers said in a statement.
Launched in May 2022, the Miss Tourism Uganda finale event will happen on September 23rd 2022 at Serena Hotel Kampala.
This has been a historical week for Busoga as the speaker of parliament Hon Anita Among Office urged the Citizens to Busoga to promote tourism.
We believe that the queens have the capacity to positively impact the image of the region and improve the livelihoods of our people through tourism.
