In their bid to beef up the technical team and squad at large, Express FC have appointed Eric Ndifuna as new assistant head coach ahead of new season.
Ndifuna is the latest addition to the club that is undergoing new set up and replaces James Odoch who was elevated to the head coach role following the departure of Wasswa Bbosa as last season neared the end.
Eric Ndifuna is a former Sharing FC (2008/2009) player who he helped gain promotion to the top league and eventually became the club’s head coach in the 2010/2011. His coaching experience has seen him coach UTODA (2011/12) , Bazar S.C (2013/14).
He also coached regional side City Lads (2014/16) , O.C Bukavu Dawa , Simba FC , Tooro United (2018 -2020) and Assistant Coach at Maroons FC (2021).Ndifuna comes with experience to the red eagles technical bench the next 2022/23 season.
Express FC also announced the signing of 19 year old center back Benjamin Gakumba on a three year contract. He is a graduate Kigezi Harambe Sports Academy and has been playing for Mbarara University.
He joins Hassan Mubiru who had his contract renewed, former Kigezi Home Boys attacking midfielder Bitakazibwa Kada, David Lukwago who extended his stay at the night club, and Isa Lumu who also extended his stay at the club.
