Veteran singer Joanita Kawalya has confirmed that Afrigo Band, now a tourist attraction will also be showcasing their best music at the Buganda Expo 2022, also known as Omwoleso Gagadde.
Afrigo was chosen to be the headlining acts for the event that will be starting on August 19, 2022 to August 28, 2022 at the Lubiri Expo Grounds, Mu Lubiri e Mengo
“We are now tourist attractions and it is difficult to catch us performing so if you love Afrigo and want to see us perform, this is where to find us,” she said.
Omwoleso Gaggade’ will be taking place under the theme, ‘Culture is not old fashion, its vintage’ this year, it is not just an Exhibition but also an opportunity for all those interested in knowledge, innovation and development of our motherland.

The Buganda Expo is an annual event on the Buganda calendar whose major role is to orient and introduce the public to the opportunities within the kingdom in order to economically empower them. Its major focus is Tourism, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Research as key areas for sustainable growth.
