As problems continue to mar the seven time Uganda Premier League champions, inside sources at the Wankulukuku based side indicate how the former URA FC coach has taken on full control as the head coach at Express FC.
James Odoch took on the reigns at Express FC as an interim coach in mid February when the club and former head coach Wasswa Bbosa parted ways.
With his experience that saw him coach Uganda U-17, URA FC, Jinja Municipal council Hippos, Nyamityobora and so many other sides, Odoch is to club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa a suitable candidate to take over as head coach at Express FC and replace Wasswa Bbosa.
Odoch was assistant to Wasswa Bbosa as the club clinched a seventh league title and the CECAFA Kagame clubs’ championship in the 2020/2021 season.
However, Odoch is tasked with bringing back harmony at the club which recently lost senior players who include Godfrey Lwesibawa,Eric Kambale George Ssenkaaba among others with club captain Enoch “Lucia” Walusimbi seen at Manchester United premises in UK where he’s said to be seeking greener pastures.
Express FC finished 6th on a sixteen team log last season with 46 points from 11 wins, 13 draws and 6 draws from 30 matches which Odoch still tasked to improve this performance.
