The court of appeal has declined to consent to a prayer by jailed National Unity Platform party lawmakers Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya in which they were requesting for bail.
The judges ruled that the court lacks jurisdiction to pronounce itself on the matter.
In the ruling however, the judges directed the court registrar to fix a trial date for the criminal case.
