The Uganda Musicians’ Association (UMA) last evening held a live debate ahead of their elections that aired on NBS television presided over by Anna Talia Oze and Andrew Kaggwa but candidate King Saha failed to show up.
Different candidates aired out their matters and reasons as to why they want these big offices including Cindy Sanyu, and Lord Bitem, who are vying for UMA presidential seat.
However, among the three presidential contenders, only two showed up as King Saha boycotted the arrangement.
King Saha’s absence is not a surprise, as his lawyers made it clear that the former would not participate in the UMA presidential debate until the election process is streamlined and handled transparently.
It should be noted that earlier today, UMA rescheduled the election date from 23rd May to 6th June 2022 following pressure from several association members.
