The Uganda Premier League penultimate round saw 33 scored with Mbarara City’s 8:2 thrashing of Tooro United the most Eye catching.
Despite both sides being relegated even before the match was played, the “Ankole Lions” whipped Tooro United 8:2 with Jude Ssemugabi registering four to his name and Arigumaho Seiri netting a hat-trick. Henry Kitegenyi scored the other to make it 8 for a record score of the season.
The other two eye catching matches saw Bul FC wallop Police FC 5:2 at Lugogo whereas Busoga United saw off URA FC with a 3:2 away win. The win for Bul ensured the 2005 champions, Police FC were relegated to Big league whereas Busoga United survived relegation with win.
League champions Vipers SC beat Wakiso Giants away from home whereas KCCA FC who are confirmed as second placed finishers lost to new league entrants Gaddafi FC.
Tooro United, Mbarara City FC and Police FC were confirmed relegated with a round to play.
The last round of the Uganda Premier League (match day 30) will be played on 21st May, 2021 .
