Vipers SC beat Gaddafi FC 2:0 at St Mary’s Stadium to move one step to winning the Uganda Premier League title. Thanks to a brace from DR. Congo international Ceaser Manzoki in the 11th and 90+2’ minutes.
With only five matches left for Vipers, the win moves them to 14 points ahead of second placed KCCA FC who played a 1 all draw away to Bul FC at Kyabazinga Stadium in Jinja.
At Kyabazinga Stadium in Jinja, Bul’s Emmanuel Kalyowa was named man of the match as visitors KCCA FC came from behind to salvage a point at the oil makers. With only five matches left to play and 14 points less of leaders Vipers, KCCA FC must be giving up on this season’s title as they must win all of the remaining five matches and Vipers losing them all.
In a Wakiso derby played at Kavumba Recreation grounds, Bright Stars FC edged past Wakiso Giants with a 1:0 win courtesy of an own goal from Joshua Lubwama. Joseph Marvin Youngman was named man of the match and walked home with a 100,000/- plaque for the man of the award winner.
