SC Villa won their match dubbed “The Relegation Battle” when they edged past Mbarara city with a 2:1 win.
Goals between two minutes from Isaac Ogwang 47’ and Sadam Masereka 49 gave the record league winners the win with an 80th minute goal from Solomon Okwalinga ending up as only a consolation for the Mbarara City side.
The win took the Joggos to 28 points, four above relegation and in 10th position with four matches to end the season whereas Mbarara City remains second from bottom on 22 points, two points away from safety remaining with four matches to conclude the season.
In Arua, Arua Hill SC beat Busoga United 2:0 with both goals coming from Alfred Leku in the 69th and 90+1 minutes. Livingston Mbabazi’s side are currently 5th on the table with 43 points level with URA FC in 4th but the latter have a better goal difference of 5:4.
On the other hand however, Busoga United are 12th with 26 points, two above relegation and will have to make good use of their remaining four matches to survive relegation.
At Bombo Military Barracks ground, an Ivan Ahimbisibwe 55th minuet goal was all enough to hand the soldiers a vital 1:0 win against Tooro United who literally have no hopes of surviving relegation. With only 10 points from 26 matches and only four left, the ‘Entale Za Tooro’ can not survive relegation.
