Ugandan female singer and songwriter Namakula Mary Bata commonly known as Mary Bata had to withstand criticism after being slammed for being an ''upcoming artiste."
According to a trending video on social media, the 'Tugenda Kumawa' singer during Talent search auditions in one of the city's hangout spots over the weekend, had to withdraw attention from criticism from an upcoming artiste who refused to be judged by a singer who produces bubble gum music like Mary Bata.
Having stepped on stage, the then to be identified competitor refused to showcase his talent on grounds that one of the judges on the panel was a fellow upcoming artiste.
By trashing the lyrics of her 'Mulimuki' music collabo with Nutty Neithan, Mary Bata had to be rescued by a bouncer who chased her tormentor off the stage as he seemingly tried to pull down her entire music career to zero with a series of insults.
