SC Villa took the Kampala derby bragging rights after outmaneuvering nemesis Express FC in tense penalty shoot-outs at Wankulukuku Stadium.
The two sides played to a barren stalemate in normal and SC Villa scored four penalties to Express Fc's three and the Joggos advanced to the last 16.
SC Villa will now face Onduparaka at the round of 16 of the Uganda Cup, a tournament they last won in 2015 when the beat KCCA FC.
SC Vipers who saw off Kataka FC in last 16 are in quarter finals and were joined by Mbale Heroes Fc-conquerors of Police FC. Booma FC who ejected TIPSA FC are also in quarter finals plus Mbarara City who ejected Iganga Young.
