The Uganda Premier League (UPL) saw two matches as match day 19 continued with new league entrants Arua Hill SC lecturing Waksio Giants with a 4:2 score and Vipers winning a tense encounter with Bright Stars 2:1.

Rashid Kawaawa was the man to watch with a hat-trick (4',14 & 38) as the Arua side put the 'Purple Sharks' on sword with a Alfred Leku scoring the other goal in the 8th minute.

The win, the 9th of the season for the West Nile side after 19 matches lifted them to fifth on a sixteeen team log with 32 points, 11 points less of table leaders Vipers.

Wakiso Giants are currently 7th on the table and have won only once (a 4:1 win against Gaddafi) in the last five matches with the rest being losses.

At Vipers SC fortress St. Mary's Stadium-Kitende, the four time UPL champions got a narrow edge against visitors Bright Stars with a 2:1 score. Halid Lwaliwa openned the scoring in the 10th minute off a well laid cross from a free kick taken by Bobosi Byaruhanga before Congolese Ceaser Manzoki struck his 12th goal of the season to remain at the top of scorers' chart.

Ivan Kasinde had given the visitors parity in the 51st minute but only turned out a consolation at the full time whistle with the loss meaning the Stars have only one win in six matches under the stewardhip of returnee coach Paul 'Kiwa' Kiwanuka.

The win opened a four point gap between leaders Vipers and second placed KCCA FC who visit Express FC on Thursaday 3rd march, 2022.
