Ray G and Emily Kikazi topped other musicians at the inaugural Western Music Awards where Ray G the Omusheshe singer (ft Spice Diana) took the Artist of the Year Accolade and Emily Mwebaze Kikazi became the female artist of the year in the awards that happened at Rhino Arena, Mbarara on Friday.
The Awards that were organized by Uganda Talent now seek to recognize various contributors in Western Uganda Music awarding among others musicians, producers and record labels.
The whole awarding event took over 4 months starting with the nominations, voting process and finally announcing winners on 30th August 2019. The Hip Hop Artist Amani Amaniga who was also the Best Western Region Hip Hop Artist in Uganda Hip Hop Awards 2017 managed to scoop the Best Male Artist award.
