Sc Villa falls to Bright Stars as Express Plays to a stalemate with Tooro United

The Star Times Uganda Premier League saw two matches played on Friday with SC Villa falling to a 2:1 loss to Bright Stars whereas Express Fc tie with Tooro United ended all square.

Record league champions SC Villa fell behind as early as in the 12th minute after Nelson Ssenkatuuka added another at the stroke of half time to give Bright stars a 2:1 win with oyirwoth Goffin pulling a consolation for the Joggos.The loss continued Sc Villa's winless run to five matches and are yet to win this year, with a 4:0 win against Tooro United in December their last win in the league.

The result leaves SC Villa in the 11th position with 17 points, level with Police FC but separated by goal difference.

On the other side however, Bright stars returnee coach Kiwanuka Paul got his first win in his second match, ending a 3-match winless run by the club. The win took them out of relegation currently standing 13th on 15 points with the "Caterpillars"-Onduparaka falling into the red zone.

Express FC also continued their winless run to three matches with a 2 all draw against Tooro United.The draw takes Express FC to 29 points, displacing URA from third position.Ssenkaaba George was the hero as his brace helped salvage a point against Tooro United. For Tooro United, the draw means they have won only once in their last six matches, losingfour. They remain glued to the table bottom.
