The semi final draws of the Pepsi Uganda University football league were conducted yesterday 1st October 2019 at Kati Kati restaurant Lugogo by-pass.
First time semi-finalists Uganda Christian University have been paired against Bugema University in the semi-finals of the 2019 Pepsi University Football League while St. Lawrence University have been paired against former champions Uganda Martyrs University.
The University Football League is highly competitive and the this can be seen in the fact that none of the traditional football giants have made it to the semi-finals. This year we have only one former champion among the semi-finalists, that is Uganda Martyrs, and I am sure they will have to be on their best game to make it to the Finals” said the Association of Uganda University Sports President, Peninah Kabenge at the draws.
Bugema and UCU have met two times in the tournament, the former winning 4:0 at home and drawing 0:0 away in 2017.
St. Lawrence University and Uganda Martyrs are meeting for the third time with the last two all ending in stalemates this season.
The fixtures will take place on Tuesday 8th and Friday 11th October 2019. Uganda Christian University will host Bugema University at Mukono as St Lawrence will entertain Uganda Martyrs at Crown City Campus Kavule.
