The match played at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso district was a real encounter to watch had it not been for COVID-19 restrictions as an entertaining seven goal thriller saw Alex Gitta's men win 4:3 against Alex Isabirye's side.

Bul FC went ahead as early as in the 18th minute through Ibrahim Kazindula but Moses Aliro levelled matters for Wakiso Giants in the 37th minute before Ivan Bogere gave the "Purple Sharks" a half time 2:1 lead on the 41st minute mark.

The second half saw visitors Bul FC score an equalizer through Ibrahim Nsimbe in the 65th minute before Ibrahim Kazindula scored the third for the oil makers to lead 3:2 in the 76th minute.

It looked like the come back would work for BUL FC but their lead didn't last as two minutes later, Wakiso Giants equalized in through Moses Aliro to complete his brace, and to Bul's surprise, a winning goal for Wakiso Giants was scored through a penalty taken by Tom Masiko in the 85th minute to drive the Wakiso Giants technical bench into wild celebrations.

This ended Bul FC's five match unbeaten run and denied them a chance to take on Express FC from the third place position but to remain fourth.

Wakiso Giants are 6th on the table with 24 points with one match to end the first round. They'll end the first round on Friday with a trip away to Gaddafi Arena to play Gaddafi FC.

Express FC also ended their 11 match win-draw-win sequence to win back to back when they edged Tooro United 2:0 away from home. Martin Kiiza scored both goals to get the first back to back wins since winning against Al-Merrikh (CAF Champions League) and Arua Hill SC in mid October,2021.

Elsewhere, Police FC continued their winning run to four matches when they took the 'Forces' bragging rights with a 1:0 win against UPDF FC at Bombo Military Barracks Ground. Thanks to a 52nd minute goal from Emmanuel Mugume.

Police have not lost a point since a 3:1 loss to KCCA FC in a Lugogo Derby at MTN Omondi Stadium played on 10th December,2021.
