KCCA FC Continue Unbeaten run, Arua Hills Stun URA FC as Vipers and Express Register Wins

Match Day 5 of the Uganda Premier League commenced on Tuesday 2nd November with six matches at different play grounds.

The days surprise result was a 3:2 stunning of last season's second place finishers URA FC by new league entrants Arua Hills FC at Barifa Stadium.

Arua Hills SC won their second match of the season and are big branding themselves as 'Big Team Crushers' having also seen off defending champions Express FC in the season opener.

Arua Hills SC came two goals from down to win 3:2 with a brace from Samuel Ssekamatte and the other from Alfred Leku to see off URA's 2:0 lead of goals by Living Kabon and Cromwell Rwothomio. Arua Hills at fourth on the table with 7 points.

KCCA FC also continued their unbeaten run to the season with a 1 all draw away to Bright Stars. Ashraf Mugume scored an equalizer to salvage a point for the 'Kasasiro Boys' after Nelson Ssenkatuuka had given Soltilo Bright Stars the lead in the 55th minute. KCCA FC remain at the top of the table with 13 points, three more than second placed Vipers but the venoms are a game less.

Vipers SC also beat Arua side Onduparaka 1:0 courtesy of a beautiful header by center back Halid Lwaliwa off a well delivered ball by Bright Anukani. The win is Vipers' third in four matches and takes them to 10 Points in second position, three Adrift of unbeaten side KCCA.

Mohammed Shaban facing his former pay masters (Vipers) didn't manage to save his club Onduparaka which rose him to popularity.

Express FC playing away from home at MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo gave their coach Wasswa Bbosa a warm welcome with a 2:1 win against Police FC. Deus Bukenya and George Ssenkaaba scored for Express FC with Juma Balinya pulling a consolation for Police FC.

Express had their coach Wasswa Bbosa banned for three matches for the comments he made in the UPL match Express lost 2:1 to Arua Hills SC in the season opener.

Gadafi FC drew 2:2 with UPDF FC. Kyeyune Medi scored a brace for UPDF FC whereas Andrew Waiswa and former KCCA FC defender Hassan Wasswa secured a point for the new league entrants with a goal at the stroke of half time.

Ibrahim Nsimbe's sole strike gave Bul FC a narrow 1:0 edge over Mbarara City FC in a match played at Kyabazinga stadium. The result lifted BUL FC to third position displacing their day's opponent.
