Vipers SC Run Riot On Wakiso Giants As Onduparaka And BUL FC Register First Wins

It was fiesta as match day two kicked off on Friday with three fixtures that also included a 5:0 hammering of Wakiso Giants by reigning Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC.

Yunus Ssentamu took the headlines with four goals to his name despite youngster Bobosi Byarunga being named man of the match.

Yunus Sentamu opened the scoring in the 11th minute, doubled Vipers lead in the 22nd minute before Ceaser Manzoki pulled the third on the 25th minute mark to make it 3:0 for the Robertinho coached side. Yunus Ssentamu, the club's topscorer last season went ahead went ahead with his scoring form when he completed his hat-trick in the 61st minute and put the icing on the cake in the
68th minute for his fourth.

The club currently leads the table after two matches with maximum points having beaten Police FC 2:0 in their season opener four days ago.

Wakiso Giants have however started on a sour note, conceding eight goals in two matches without scoring. They fell to a 3:0 lecturing by KCCA FC in their season opening match.

BUL FC played their first match of the season despite playing on match day two and were 2:1 winners against Police FC. Thanks to goals from Ibrahim Mugulusi and Richard Wandyanka. Police got their first goal of the season through Brian Muluuli who levelled matters for the cops at the stroke of half time but for Wandyaka's second goal for the oil makers, they failed out on a point to remain winless in two matches thus far.

The other match on the day was a 1:0 win by Onduparaka FC over Bright Stars. The match played at Kavumba Recreation ground saw home side Bright Stars who also slipped to a 3:1 loss to Mbarara City FC in their first match of the season fall to Dudu Ramathan's 30th minute goal which gave the 'Caterpillars' the first win of the season.

Action resumes on Saturday with three fixtures, KCCA FC playing at their home MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo will play host to new league entrants Gadafi FC with Tooro United hosting Mbarara City FC at Buhinga stadium, Fort Portal.

UPDF FC will host seven time winners and defending champions Express FC at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds.
