Express FC Renews Contracts With Coach Wasswa Bbosa And His Staff

Shortly after adding new players in defender Deus Bukenya and midfielder Nicolas Kasozi in order to beef up the squad, Express FC has now renewed contracts of their coaching staff led by head coach Wasswa Bbosa for one more season.

This followed an impressive season that saw Express FC win the Star Times Uganda Premier League they last won in 2012 and also winning the CECAFA Kagame Club Championship recently in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking upon the coaches' contracts renewal, club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa had this to note...

“EVERYONE HAS BEEN ASKING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF OUR COACHES’ AT THE CLUB BUT THAT’S NO MORE, FOR ME THEY’VE DONE A FANTASTIC JOB ALONG WITH THE ENTIRE BACKROOM STAFF AND THEY DESERVE IT, AS A CLUB WE’RE GLAD THAT’S SORTED NOW SO FOCUS IS NOW ON THE CONTINENTAL CAMPAIGN” Club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa noted.

Express FC are also in the semi finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup where they will play against Jinja's BUL FC at Kyabazinga Stadium-Bugembe, Jinja and if they win the tournament, they will have completed a treble.

Express FC head coach noted on signing a contract extension..

“I FIRST OF ALL WANT TO THANK THE CHAIRMAN AND CEO FOR SEEING TO IT THAT I AND MY BACKROOM STAFF STAY PUT FOR ANOTHER SEASON, WE’VE ACHIEVED ALOT TOGETHER AND I BELIEVE WE SHALL ACHIEVE MORE THIS COMING SEASON, THIS WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN BUT IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME SO NOW IT’S TIME TO DOUBLE OUR EFFORTS AND PERFORM WELL ON THE CONTINENT”. Wasswa Bbosa noted.

Bbosa's backroom staff of assistant coach James Odoch, goalkeeper coach Sam Kawalya, team physio Aloysius Makubuya, team doctors Wante Godfrey and Enock Kayondo have all extended their stay at the club for another season.

Having won the Star Times Uganda Premier League title last season, Express FC will represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League this coming season and are currently making drills in Entebbe as they prepare to face Al Merrikh of Sudan on Friday 10th September,2021 in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at Vipers SC St. Mary's Stadium Kitende.
