KCCA FC Confirm Entry of Derrick Ochan and Exit Of Goalkeepers Hassan Matovu

Thirteen time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC have today Saturday 4th August, 2021 announced the capture of former Vipers goalkeeper Derrick Ochan on a three year contract.

The shot stopper left Vipers SC a year ago and joined Police FC who he spent last season with making impressive performances.

He arrives at the club immediately after the 'Garbage Collectors' announced the departure of custodian Hassan Matovu who left for Uganda Premier League side Bright Stars FC.

Hassan had spent the last two seasons 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 at Proline FC. In the first season, he helped the club win their first major trophies, the FUFA Big League and the Uganda Cup that saw the club play in CAF Confederations Cup the following season.

The arrival of Derrick Ochan means KCCA FC have made nine signings as they beef up their squad ahead of new season 2021/2022.
They include Innocent Wafula, Usama Arafat,Yassar Mugerwa, Emmanuel Wasswa, Brian Majwega, Geoffrey Wasswa, Brian Kayanja and Moto Rogers.

However, the club also let go of Moses Kalanzi (contract expired), Keziron Kizito (contract expired), Philbert Obenchan (contract expired) and also sold Steven Sserwadda to America's Major League Soccer outfit New York Red Bulls.

KCCA FC is looking to better it's squad for a better performance next season having finished fourth last time.
