Police has confirmed how its holding Kadongo Kamu singer Vincent Segawa alias Ibrahim Segawa at the Criminal Investigations Directorate in Kibuli, Kampala city on charges of child trafficking.
According to Charles Twine, the CID spokesperson, the "Sisiri" singer is among a handful of people under Police custody on investigations charges of child trafficking.
In the process of arresting the suspects, a total of 50 children who were reportedly being trafficked from Markaz Ibun Hajjara School located at Namaliga Bombo, Luweero district were rescued and are currently being kept at the CID headquarters as they try to trace their parents.
Its reported that the children were being trafficked to a yet to be known destination according to Charles Twine, the CID spokesperson.
It must be remembered that ever since converting to Islam, singer Vincent Segawa alias Ibrahim Segawa had switched from doing secular music in preference to serving Allah.
