Cafe Javas have through a press release opened up about serving their client a milkshake containing a dead rat, they have denied everything and provided proof to shame the liar who wanted to get money out of them.
Through their social media Javas company has given what they believe is the true account of events.
“On Tuesday 24 August at approximately 2:46 pm, two customers ordered for Orea and caramel milkshakes to take away. These two orders were prepared following usual high standard protocols of food safety and hygiene duly overseen by our supervisors before delivery to the customers all in view of our closely monitored CCTV cameras,” Part of the statement reads.
“Whereas our managers conveyed the impossibility of adulteration since the process of milkshake preparation involves blending, such that vermin or other solid object could remain in the cup unblended, they nonetheless informed the customers that their allegations had to be verified,” Part of the statements reads further.
They claim that after doing an investigation, they confirmed that the client was spreading false accusations.
“A review of our CCTV footage of the preparation and service of the milkshake confirmed that there was no adulteration of the milkshake. The customer was duly informed of the findings to which she started reacting by threatening to circulate a video of her version of events if she was not paid a certain sum of money,” Part of the press statement adds.
Javas management believes that the claims are in bad faith and intended to bring their business into disrepute. They have added that the circulation of the malicious video has led to a distortion of their logo.
