Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has according to footballers' agent Kayemba Geofrey Ssolo joined Tanzania's outfits Yanga SC.
According to Kayemba, former Gor Mahia and Tusker FC midfielder Aucho has joined the Tanzania based side on a two year deal...this Kayemba put on his Facebook account..
"Wish you the best for the next 2 seasons @yangasc my brother Aucho Khalid."
Aucho saw off his two year contract at Egypt's Misr-el-Makassa where he endured hardships which included nonpayment of salary for a couple of months that had even prompted him to leave the club before the contract expired.
Aucho who also played Gor Mahia and Tusker FC in Kenya saw his contract expired on 31st July,2021 and called it quits at the Egyptian side.
"Thank you, team El Makassa, for being with me these two years. I was humbled to be part of you. In good and bad, we remained as family. May Allah bless you all in the rest of the games and the future,” he posted on his Faceook page.
Aucho joined the Egyptian side in 2019 after the AFCON tournament in which he Shone but his tenure at the side seems not one to remember.
Aucho was recently at loggerheads with FUFA for being partizan in party politics that has seen him not called for national duty since then. It was alleged Aucho called for the release of Bobi Wine when he was usually brutalized during the presidential campaigns something FUFA said is not accepted of a player.
Tanzania has been a playing ground for many Ugandan football stars who include Emmanuel Okwi, Geoffrey Walusimbi, Nicolas Wadada,Musa Mude,Ivan Anguyo, Dan Sserunkuuma, Diego Hamis Kiiza, Joseph Owino, to mention but a few.
