Mukono municipity parliamentary legislator Betty Nambooze Bakireke has jokingly cautioned Pastor David Livingstone Kiganda against demanding the flock to pay tithe from the 100k Covid-19 relief kamoney.
As a section of vulnerable poor keep receiving mobile money messages of the earlier promised funds from the government, the motor mouthed legislator is seemingly worried that Pastors given the fact that they aren't working too, may be tempted to trick their flock to to deduct a little of of their kamoney so as to fulfill church works.
Despite the Biblical teaching encouraging Christians to "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God," MP Nambooze believes Men of God should hide their shame and let the vulnerable poor survive the hardships of the lockdown without any deductions on their Kamoney towards paying church works like tithe.
"Mpoozi nze mbadde mbuuza Pastor Kiganda nti ndowooza ku mitwalo ekkumi kwo tekuvaako kkimu eky'ekkumi oba nesiriwalize muli?!"- MP Betty Nambooze Bakireke.
