Express FC's duo of Wasswa Bbosaband Eric Kambale have respectively been named the Pilsner Coach and player of the month of May.
Eric Kambale beat competition from URA FC's Steven Mukwala and Wakiso Giants' Vianney Ssekajugo. Kambale managed eight goals in five matches which helped his side win all matches in the month of May.
Like his player, Coach Wasswa Bbosa guided his side to five wins in as many matches and hence beat competition from Wakiso Giants' Douglas Bamweyana and April's winner Sam Ssimbwa of URA FC.
Upon being named the Pilsner player of the month, Kambale had to tell the media....
"I can't thank enough my team mates and technical team led by the head coach Wasswa Bbosa for a fantastic job done in May, however, it's not done yet, we have to focus and see out the remaining games left to win the league, we also have the Uganda Cup to fight for, so let's focus and conclude the season with a double if possible."
Coach Wasswa Bbosa said, "I Am grateful for the recognition but it was team work all through, I appreciate my technical team and everyone behind the scenes at the Club for the effort but it's not done yet, we're preparing for the final bend and we have nothing but getting silverware on our minds."
Each of the winners went home with a UGX 1M plaque as prize money.
