Jinja based side BUL FC has progressed to the semi finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup with a 2:1 aggregate score despite losing 1:0 to reigning champions Proline FC.

In a match played on Monday 31st May,2021 at the Bugembe Stadium in Jinja, Proline FC won 1:0, courtesy of a goal from Ivan Ocholit in the 41st minute but it was not enough to overturn a 2:0 score by BUL FC in the first leg.

BUL FC thus becomes the the first side to qualify for the Semi Finals of this year's Uganda Cup. It's also the only other time that the Oil makers have made it to this stage since 2015 when they lost to eventual winners SC Villa. Villa beat KCCA FC 3:0 in the finals that time round.

The other second leg matches of the quarter finals will see SC Villa take on Vipers SC at Army Military Barracks Grounds, Bombo on Wednesday 2nd June after the first leg ended in a one all stalemate.

The Quarter Finals second legs will be completed on Thursday with two fixtures at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. Police FC will take on Wakiso Giants who they beat 3:1 in the first leg at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium as KCCA FC will take on Express FC later in the day. The two played a barren draw in the first leg.

This year's Stanbic Uganda Cup finals will be played in Kitara Region with Masindi Municipal Stadium the hosts.
