URA FC Keeps Title Hopes Arrive with a Win Against UPDF

URA FC kept Uganda Premier League title hopes arrive with a 2:1 win against UPDF FC. In a match played at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje, URA FC scored through Mukwala Steven who hit a brace to take his tally of the season to 14 goals and keep pace with fellow boot chaser Yunus Ssentamu.

Kitata Alex had pulled an equalizer for the the Soldiers on the 47th minute mark but it turned out a consolation when Steven "Dese" Mukwala scored the second to complete his brace. Mukwala was then named the Pilsner Man of the match.

The win leaves the "Tax Collectors" on 57 points, one adrift of table leaders Express FC with four matches to go. They include two trips to Busoga United and Wakiso Giants and two home matches against relagated Kitara FC and relagation bound MYDA FC.

KCCA FC were also 3:1 winners against visitors Busoga United. Juma Balinya, Charles Lwanga and Gift Ali were on the score sheet for KCCA FC whereas the Jinja based side Busoga United scored through Ekellot Ibrahim.

KCCA FC are mathematically out of the title race with four matches to go, they trail table leaders Express FC by 13 points.

Their last four matches include a trip to both MYDA and Kitara and home matches against Wakiso Giants and Express FC.

KCCA FC are fourth on the table 45 points from 13 wins, 6 draws and 7 losses.
