The the first phase had teams that included Maroons Netball club, Masaka Netball club, White Star, Kawempe, Holy Spirit Netball club of Mbarara, Mubende District Netball club and hosts Mubende Army SS Netball club.
In the matches, the Mubende Derby between Mubende Army SS and Mubende District Netball club was a tight one but Mubende Army having an edge after a had fought 37:30 win for the day's events hosts.
Mubende Army SS also beat Masaka by a 53:25 score to mark a wonderful start to their quest for first division Netball league competition of Uganda.
The next phase of the the first round will take place on 12th June in Mbarara City with Pride Of Kawempe the hosting team.
Mubende district will also host the third phase of the first round on 26th June in Luzira and the final phase will take place in Masaka with Maroons the hosts.
