Salim Jamal Muwonge, the head coach of the Uganda National Beach Soccer Team nick named the "Sand Cranes" has on Tuesday 18th May 2021 named a 15 man Sand Cranes squad to represent the country in Senegal.

Uganda Sand Cranes will be appearing in the finals of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in history.

The tournament will be the fourth edition of its kind and defending champions Senegal will host it between 23 and 29 May 2021.

Uganda were initially meant to host the tournament between 23rd and 29th November,2020 in Jinja but due to the persistent COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing water levels at the beach, Uganda withdrew and hence paved way for Senegal.
