President Yoweri Museveni Sworn in as the President of Uganda for the Next Five Years ( 2021-2026)

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been sworn in as the President of the Republic of Uganda for the next five years ( 2021-2026) at a ceremony held in Kololo with a number of Presidents from other countries all available.

Yoweri Museveni sworn in to serve as President for a sixth term in office. The 76-year-old has been in power for 35 years. In 2005 presidential term limits in Uganda were removed, and in 2017, the removal of the previous upper age limit of 75 was also announced.

President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni has coordinated the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to quickly begin redesigning the Kisoro-Rubuguri-Nteko street.

The 10 presidents who are in attendance include  Évariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Somalia), Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe), Salva Kiir (South Sudan), Hage Gottfried Geingob (Namibia),Alpha Conde (Guinea), Salva Kiir Mayardit(South Sudan),Nana Akufo-Ado(Ghana), Felix Tshisekedi(DRC) and Ethiopia’s Sahle-Work Zewde.

Other countries represented are Super power Russia’s Vladimir Putin who sent in Mikhail Bogdanov, a special presidential envoy but also the deputy Foreign Affairs Minister and  Ahmed A. Kattan, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia- interalia.

A total of 4,294, guests were invited to attend the inauguration ceremony represented different sections of the population.
