URA Tops the Table with a draw at Bright Stars as Police FC wallops MYDA FC 6:1

Match day 20 of the Uganda Premier League continued on Saturday 24th April with 14 goals scored in five matches.

URA FC were the biggest beneficiaries of the day with a point against Soltilo Bright Stars earning them table summit hence displacing Vipers SC who lost 1:0 to Express FC a day before. The match ended in a barren stalemate.

The match between the Cops and new league entrants MYDA FC had the biggest score of the day with the former thumping the latter with a 6:1 score.

A brace from both Ben Ocen and Brian Muluuli plus a goal apiece from Frank Zaga Tumwesigye and Muwadda Mawejje gave the Abdullah Mubiru coached side a well deserved win with Moses Batali scoring a consolation for MYDA.

Frank Zaga Tumwesigye was named the Man of the match.

Elsewhere, "the Ankole Lions" of Mbarara City FC swallowed the Joggos in a match played at Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara. Livingston Mbabazi coached team scored through Henry Kitegenyi and Jude Ssemugabi with SC Villa's only goal coming from Emmanuel Wasswa.

Mbarara City's Henry Kitegenyi was named Man of the match as Mbarara City got their sixth win of the season.

Match day 20 fixtures will get completed on Sunday with a fixture between Onduparaka FC and KCCA FC at Ababet Green Light Stadium, Arua.
