Police FC Arrests UPDF FC in the 'Battle of the Forces' as Kampala Derby Ends in a Stalemate

Police FC has has won the "The Battle of the Forces" 3:0 as the two forces met in the Uganda Premier League match day 17 continued in a match played at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

At Army Military Barracks Grounds in Bombo, SC Villa played to a barren draw with rivals Express FC in a closely contested Kampala derby.

Ronald Ssekiganda was named man of the match after he attempted to score against Mathias Muwanga but the goalkeeper was at per.

The draw leaves Express FC in third position and on 36 points, three behind league leaders Vipers SC while Villa sit Sixth on 29 points.

At Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Bright Stars FC came from behind to beat Wakiso Giants 3:2. New boy at the Club Bogere Ivan struck the "Purple Sharks" into the lead just two minutes into the game before Samuel Ssekamatte equalised for Bright Stars in the 14th minute.

Joseph Janjali gave the home side the lead in the 32nd minute before Joshua Lubwama "Leti" restored parity for Wakiso Giants from the spot kick in the 75th minute but Kasinde won it late for the Bright Stars with bag home all points.

Action resumes on Friday with match day 18 with two fixtures as Kitara hosts Vipers and URA will take on BUL FC
