Vision Group Announces Don Wanyama as their New C.E.O After Firing Kabushenga

Senior Presidential media Secretary and former daily Monitor journalist, Don Wanyama has been announced  as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vision Group, replacing Robert Kabushenga.

Kabushenga early this year said that he had opted for early retirement from the company due to personal reasons.

Vision Group chairman, Mr Patrick Ayota, announced the decision of the Board to appoint Mr Wanyama as managing director and CEO of industrial area based company Today at vision offices.

“This is to let you know that for personal reasons I have asked the Board for an early retirement and this has been accepted,” Kabushenga revealed.

Who is Don Wanyama? His Biography:

Don Wanyama joined the Daily Monitor in 2008 as an assistant chief sub editor having worked at New Vision as a junior sub editor.In 2009, he was promoted to a deputy chief sub editor and a year later named chief sub editor. In May 2013, he was named managing editor for daily editions.

In 2015, he left Daily Monitor and was appointed special media assistant, Office of the ruling National Resistance Movement NRM chairman.

In 2016, he was appointed political editor New Vision before he joined State House in the same year, as Senior Presidential Press Secretary.

Now he has been announced as the new CEO OF Vision Group.
