KCCA FC have lectured league debutants MYDA FC with a 5:0 thumping at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
KCCA FC had last won a league match on 11th December,2020 when they beat Mbarara City 2:0 at home. They had since then fallen to 2:1 losses to SC Villa, URA and BUL FC before a one all draw with Express fc in their most recent match.
A brace apiece from Bright Anukani and Charles Lwanga and a goal from Moses Aliro were enough to hand the pressurized Mike Mutebi a deserved win.
The result now sees the garbage collectors move to seventh position from eighth, with 13 points from four wins, one draw and three losses.
Express FC also made a statement of competency this time round with a comprehensive 4:0 win against BUL FC.
Captain Murushid Jjuuko opened the scoring 11 minutes into half time, Arthur Kigundu doubled the lead on the 32nd minute mark before George Ssenkaaba struck the third in the 42nd minute. It was forward Ibrahim Kayiwa who hit the last nail in the coffin that saw Wasswa Bbosa's side move to third place on the table.
Express FC player Arthur Kigundu was at the end of the match named the Pilsner man of the match.
At Bombo Military Grounds, Faizo Kazibwe was named man of the match as his side SC Villa beat league debutants Kitara FC 3:1
At the Arena of Visions, URA FC played to a barren stalemate with Wakiso Giants.
