Singer Wycliffe Tugume commonly known as Ykee Benda has lost his cool thereby being involved in a bitter exchange with his social media fans and followers over his failure to come out strongly and plead to the government for the release of NUP Party stronghold and musician Ali Bukeni alias Nubian Li.
As a President of the Uganda Musicians Association, (UMA), NUP Party supporters and critics expected the 'Boy So Tender' to come out strongly and use his influence as a leader in the entertainment industry to demand for the release of Nubian Li who is currently jailed on remand alongside Bobi Wine's bodyguard Eddy Ssebuufu aka Eddie Mutwe at the Makindye Military Barracks in Kampala.
Having been pressurized and insulted by the key board masters to do something and free Nubian Li, the "Eva" singer has ended up roasting the latter thereby reminding them how he isn't a law enforcer who is responsible to give out bails hence a need to give him a break.
The Kireka Boy believes its high time for fans to give some respect to the entertainers after all they are recognized not because of mediocrity but because of their sweat and good talent.
"This kamanyilo comes up becoz u think mutuyamba buyambi okutuwagila, HELL NO.!! If I didn’t do good music u wouldn’t have purchased it, u wouldn’t pay to see me perform. Our industry isn’t a charity organization that ur just helping, no way, u pay & we entertain you. BUSINESS.
You know Nubian Li is with police but ur on my twitter shouting like it’s me giving out bails ...! You urself can’t do anything about it apart from tweeting like he is locked somewhere on twitter. Bomboclat ...!!" tweeted YKee Benda.
