The Airtel Masaza Cup tournament 2020 has today been launched in Bulange gardens in Mengo.
Defending champions and two time winners Bulemeezi will open the 16th edition against Butambala on 12th December, 2020 at Njeru technical center where the whole tournament will be staged.
Speaking at the official launching on Tuesday 24th November,2020, Buganda's Premier Charles Peter Mayiga expressed determination to stage the competition despite the persistent COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Masaza tournament always kick starts in June but the effects of COVID-19 pandemic led to the postponement of the tournament to this late. Unlike for the first groupings where Mawogola &Butambala, Busujju were not included, they were this time included and are in Butikiro and Bulange respectively.
Bulemeezi are the defending champions having beaten Buddu 1:0 last year at Namboole.
Thanks to the lone strike from Loki Emmanuel that handed the "Balya Naka' the second title having also won in 2012 when they beat Buwekula at Nakivubo.
