"I've asked my Legal advisor to file a criminal case against Bebe Cool"- DP's Norbert Mao

Democratic Party President and presidential flag bearer Hon. Nobert Mao has instructed the party's National Legal Advisor, Counsel Luyimbazi Nalukoola to institute criminal proceedings against singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool for flouting the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines.

This follows the news of the brutal detention of the NUP Presidential candidate, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine by the law enforcers on Wednesday as he proceeded with his campaigns in Luuka district for flouting the COVID-19 guidelines a scenario that evidently shows biaseness in the government systems since the Gagamel Music Band CEO is doing so with impunity.

"I have asked the DP National Legal Advisor Counsel Luyimbazi Nalukoola to take legal steps to file criminal charges against singer Bebe Cool who is flouting the so called COVID rules with impunity," said Hon. Nobert Mao.

According to Mao, the "Wakayima" singer in company of goons are busy holding campaigns with processions of NRM supporters while the law enforcers are just looking on, an atmosphere that isn't realized by the opposition leaders as many are till now being haunted by police brutality hence a need to go legal so as to attain redress.

"Bebe Cool is holding processions of NRM supporters while police helplessly looks on. Yet the same police has disrupted gatherings of opposition candidates under the pretext of enforcing COVID rules."- Nobert Mao.

Having confirmed the saddening detention of his fellow opposition leader, Hon. Mao through the DP social media platforms has also instructed the party's National Legal Advisor also to pursue MP Bobi Wine's bail release papers so as he is freed from Nalufenya Prison where he is currently detained.

“I have instructed the DP National Legal Advisor Counsel Luyimbazi Nalukoola to take legal steps to ensure that the NUP Presidential Candidate Robert Kyagulanyi who is in detention is released from custody immediately."
