Express FC Unveils Daniel Kiwanuka as New Goalkeepers Coach

Following the stepping down of former Goalkeepers coach Sam Kawalya at the Wasswa Bbosa coach side, the club has on Wednesday 21st October announced Daniel Kiwanuka as the replacement.

According to the club website, Kawalya left on orders of the doctor concerning his health status. Upon arrival, Kiwanuka a former Diary FC, UMEME FC, Simba FC and Maji FC player had this to tell...

“Express FC is one of the historical clubs in Uganda but most importantly, am here because i want a new challenge, I’ve achieved everything there’s to win in the Ugandan football league hence the need to seek for a new challenge” He stated.

He joins the technical team led by Wasswa Bossa (Head Coach),James Odoch (Assistant Coach),Hassan Mubiru (Fitness Coach) and Helen Buteme (Strength & Conditioning) and Ainebyona Lewis (Performance Analyst).

Express FC are six time Uganda Premier League champions but last tasted victory in in 2012 under the stewardship of Coach Sam Ssimbwa.

Last season, they finished qth with 31 points from 9 wins, 4 draws and 12 losses and will look to up their performance this coming season.

In a bid to better their performance, they have recruited new players who include Charles Musiige, Cryspus Kusiima, Denis Otim, centre back Richard Bbosa and midfielders Mahad “Yaya” Kakooza, Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Godfrey Lwesibawa plus forward Mustafa Kiragga. Midfielder Isaac Nsengiyunva who are the other new signings at the Wankulukuku based side.
